Trip To Paris
LOL!No it was not that Paris, not that lucky.. I went to Paris TN this past week with a group from MS to help set up a new store there. We had to leave a day late to get there because of the snow. We were suppose to leave on Sunday Jan 31 but did not leave until Monday.. After we got past Jackson MS. we were steadily looking for snow, but no snow. And we were thinking hey we could have made this trip yesterday. After we got above Memphis we understood why the wait, the major roads were clear,but you could see the snow piled up on the side and it was about 12 inches deep give or take and inch.
I was told on the way up there we had to run by the store. Little did I know that we were going to stay and work for 4 hour after we got there lol. After leaving McComb at 8 that morning and getting there at 3 that afternoon and working till 7 that night. Need I say I was dragging.
When we walked in the store it was just and empty shell with only some rack and shelves put together and a large stock room full ,and a truck on the way with yes more merchandise. It was about 10 from MS and around 15 from TN.
We were told the second day that this all have to be out by Friday at noon if we want to come home that day. We just kinda looked at each other and wondered what Friday they meant. Knowing they were telling us we had 4 1/2 days to get all of this out. We made it with good help from TN and MS we worked long 12 hours days with only 30 min lunches and 2 -15 min breaks a day.
I am glad I got to be a part of this, but I must say I am glad to be back home. Was a time I will never forget and met sweet people that I intend to stay in touch with. So all the hard work was worth it .Here is a link to what the paper and our story even though they did not mention MS lol
